Curved Stairs are custom built at Eastern Stair. Our craftsmen take pride in hand building each stair from carefully selected components to create a masterpiece for your home. The stringers and rail for each stair are laminated layers of wood blending into a seamless form of grace and style. Virtually any form can be accommodated in this time honored process, where the carriages are bent to custom shapes. A curved stair affords the dramatic focal point in the foyer of the most discriminating homes.
Spiral Stairs
Spiral Stairs are available as custom built, or as stock kit typed units. Spiral stairs are based on a central column or pole from which the treads extend. The treads are triangular in shape. The narrow end attaches to the pole, while the wide end receives the balusters and rail system. Most spiral stairs are open riser to provide that light and airy open “feel”. Spiral stairs are often used when space is limited.
